The Rise of Injectable Fillers: Enhancing Volume and Rejuvenating Features

Injectable fillers bucks county pa

In recent years, there has been a significant surge in the popularity of non-invasive cosmetic procedures, and at the forefront of this trend are injectable fillers. From plumping lips to smoothing folds and wrinkles, injectable fillers have become the go-to solution for those seeking subtle facial enhancements with natural-looking results.

But what exactly are injectable fillers, and why are they gaining such widespread acclaim?

Let’s explore the rise of injectable fillers and the transformative impact they’re having on the world of beauty.

Understanding Injectable Fillers

Injectable fillers, also known as dermal fillers or soft tissue fillers, are gel-like substances that are injected beneath the skin to restore volume, smooth lines and wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. They are typically composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps maintain moisture and elasticity in the skin. Common areas treated with injectable fillers include the lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds (smile lines), chin, jawline and under-eye hollows.

Evolution of Injectable Fillers

Advancements in cosmetic technology and product formulations have contributed to the evolution of injectable fillers, offering patients more options and improved outcomes than ever before. Today, there are a variety of injectable filler formulations available, each designed to address specific concerns and deliver optimal results. From hyaluronic acid fillers for volume restoration to collagen-stimulating fillers for long-lasting rejuvenation, patients now have access to a range of options to suit their needs and preferences.

Why You Should Choose Injectable Fillers

  • Non-Surgical: Unlike surgical procedures such as facelifts or implants, injectable fillers offer a non-surgical alternative for those seeking cosmetic enhancements without the need for incisions or downtime.
  • Customizable Results: Injectable fillers can be tailored to meet each individual’s unique aesthetic goals, whether they’re looking for subtle enhancement or more dramatic rejuvenation.
  • Quick and Convenient: Injectable filler treatments are typically quick and convenient. The total appointment and treatment time is about an hour with minimal discomfort or recovery time.
  • Natural-Looking Results: When administered by a skilled injector, injectable fillers should produce natural-looking results that enhance and rejuvenate facial features without appearing overdone or artificial.
  • Reversible: Using Hyaluronic acid fillers like the Juvéderm or Restylane collection of dermal filler products, injectable fillers are reversible, allowing patients the flexibility to adjust or reverse their results if desired.

As the demand for non-invasive cosmetic procedures continues to rise, injectable fillers have emerged as a versatile and effective solution for achieving natural-looking enhancements and rejuvenation.

With their customizable results, minimal downtime, and wide range of applications, injectable fillers have become a cornerstone of modern beauty aesthetics, empowering individuals to look and feel their best at any age.

Whether you’re a newcomer to cosmetic enhancements or a seasoned beauty enthusiast, consider exploring the transformative possibilities of injectable fillers.

Beginner’s Guide to Lip Filler

A Guide to Lip Filler

New to Lip Filler?

No biggy, let’s get you caught up!

Lip fillers at Healthy Solutions Medspa is a no brainer.

We personalize every treatment to your lips and your goals.

Let’s get into the beginngers guide to lip filler!

The Basics of Lip Filler – Finding a Provider

When it comes to Dermal Filler Treatments of any kind, it is important to take the time to discuss your options with an experienced and certified dermal filler injector.

This means, seek out a professional who provides you with proof of certifications, is willing to show you before & after successes, and whose name either starts with “Dr.” or ends with “R.N”.

Take your time, schedule a consult, and do not be afraid to ask any and all questions that come to mind.

Stay away from the fast food version of dermal fillers and spring for the steak house.

Now is not the time to cut corners – We are talking about your face!

How Long Does a Lip Filler Appointment Take?

It is no surprise that we are asked quite often about the aftermath of Lip Filler.

Appointments for Lip Filler are on average 30 minutes, however if it is your first time, it may be somewhat longer.

This time would include having before photos taken, speaking with the Doctor or Nurse about your expectations, numbing the area and then having the filler placed.

The lips have somewhat sensitive skin, so many find it is slightly more painful than the average Botox injection.

What Happens After Lip Filler?

Sensitive skin means swelling will come easily, but after the first 72 hours, you will find you have seen the worst of any unseemly aftermath.

This also means that you may have bruising, however it will subside after 48 hours.

Your medical professional will most likely want to wait 2 weeks for a follow up visit, so that the filler can be completely settled and the full effect can be seen.

What is the Most Common Misunderstanding About Lip Filler?

The most common misunderstanding regarding lip fillers, is actually thinking that your professional made a mistake and over-puffed your pout.

You may think that your lips are far too big from what you and the doctor or nurse had discussed.

Good news? You most likely don’t have anything to worry about!

Try to remember that although the initial swelling went down, it can take up to a week to see the full effect of the filler making a home in your new smile.

So don’t give in to the urge to panic the next day assuming something is wrong.  Time heals all swelling!

What Can I Expect After Lip Filler?

Just like with any type of dermal filler, you should avoid laying down for at a minimum, 4 hours.

This will help minimize the chance of the filler migrating to unwanted areas of the face, or even just to another section of your lip.

You should also follow the same rules about not working out for 24 hours after injections.

Flushed skin will increase your chances of bruising, and sweat on open skin, even on the smallest of points, can lead to infection.

I’m A Filler Pro – Are Lip Fillers Any Different?

Your new lips require a little more extra care than the average Botox injection aftermath you are most likely use to.

Most obvious, but most commonly forgotten, your lips look temping right after treatment, but sorry!

Tell those boys to keep the smooches at bay for 24 hours.

Aside from the fact that you may be submitting your injection sight to unnecessary germs, the amount of muscles used when stealing a kiss, are far more than you realize.

You may unknowingly shift the shape of your lips that seemed so desirable.

What else should you look out for?

It’s best to keep the toasts of the mock-tail variety for now. Alcohol acts as a blood thinner.

This can increase your likelihood of visible bruising, swelling, and inflammation.

Not to mention, alcohol can really dehydrate you! One of the benefits of Lip Filler is that your lips will be far more moisturized.

Hyaluronic acid, a main ingredient in lip filler, is also naturally found in the body.

Dehydrating yourself means altering the actual compound of the filler.

Smoking has been shown to increase your risk of infection after getting lip fillers, so it should be avoided.

Smoking also causes your lips to pucker, which can apply pressure on the lips and be painful after injections.

Try to avoid smoking for at least 24–48 hours after getting lip fillers.

Lip fillers are an amazing way to plump up your smile, fix any asymmetry, or restore youthful moisture to your pout.

Everything You Need To Know About Eye Filler

Healthy Solutions Medspa

Tired of looking tired? Others feel the same, and far more than you’d think! If you dislike your under eye bags, under eye filler may provide a solution.

Why Get An Under Eye Filler Treatment?

“Dark circles” under your eyes, or “under-eye bags” are both umbrella terms that can describe a wide variety of under eye issues.

If you are self-conscious or struggle with the appearance of the skin under your eyes, you typically are not speaking generally about something that “bothers you a little”. Under eye dark circles can be blindly apparent.

With the stigma that comes with dark circles, not doing anything about them can really do some damage to your everyday confidence.

The stigma that has, and sadly will always, walk hand in hand with under eye bags, is exhaustion.

No matter how much information we are aware of, we will still find ourselves assuming the woman across the room with dark circles didn’t catch enough sleep the evening before.

Even though we are aware the causes of dark circles have nothing to do with our energy, without the best concealer makeup, we find ourselves being asked if we are sick, tired, or working too hard.

Basically, when it comes to under-eye bags, there is no limit to how much time and money we will spend exploring products, treatments and types of makeup to address the issue. It is exhausting work to not look exhausted.

Thanks for the irony of Mother Nature… always a jokester.

What Is An Under Eye Filler Treatment?

An under eye filler treatment is when hyaluronic acid is injected into targeted areas under the skin beneath the eye or tear trough in order to minimize hollows, dark circles, and to correct age related volume loss.

Is Under Eye Filler Treatment Safe?

The use of dermal fillers for tear troughs have been done “off label” by many practitioners over the years, but recently, JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® XC was FDA approved for the improvement of infraorbital hollows.

With an under eye filler treatment with Juvederm Volbella for under eye bags, you won’t need to hide behind concealer any longer..

How Long Does Under Eye Filler Last?

You can expect the results to last for up to one year with Juvederm Volbella for the under eyes.

What Areas Can Be Injected With Under Eye Filler?

Tear troughs – Filler may be used to smooth out the curved line under your eyes that starts at the inside corner of the eye and runs down toward the cheek.

Under eye bags – Filler may be used to erase or soften any other fine lines and wrinkles underneath the eyes. The skin underneath the eye is very thin and prone to wrinkles.

How Much Is Under Eye Filler?

The treatment price can vary depending on how much under eye filler you will need which is established during your consultation, but typically can range between $800 – $1600.

Where Can I Get Under Eye Filler?

It’s important to find a reputable medical office or medical spa that offers FDA approved dermal fillers like Juvederm Volbella and that have a great reputation.

Always do your research about the practice on Google and read their reviews. And, if you live in Bucks County, PA and looking for a provider that specializes in under eye filler, contact us at (267) 332-5567 or fill out a form online here.

Dermal Fillers: Types of Fillers and Tips To Follow Before Your Treatment:

Whether you want to look years younger or enhance your features, a dermal filler treatment is a great option to achieve your desired look without surgery.

In fact, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery reports that dermal filler treatments were a runner-up for the most popular non-surgical procedures last year, right after Botulinum Toxin (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin).

Most areas of the face can be treated with Dermal fillers.

There are many different types of dermal fillers on the market to choose from:

1. Hyaluronic Acid (HA)

Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Juvederm Volbella, Juvederm Vollure, Juvederm Voluma, Perlane, Restylane, Restylane Silk, Restylane Refyne, Restylane Defyne Boletero Balance.

Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring substance found in your skin that helps it stay hydrated and plump.

These temporary dermal fillers are FDA approved for treatment on the nasolabial folds (smile lines), lips, vertical lip lines, marionette lines and cheek areas.

HA fillers last between 6 months to 2 years before they are absorbed by the body naturally.

2. Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA)

Radiesse

This filler is FDA approved for the treatment of nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines, cheeks and other facial contours.

CaHA is also a naturally occurring substance found in the body, specifically in our bones.

These fillers typically last longer than HA fillers, about 12 months.

3. Poly-L-lactic Acid

Sculptra

This FDA approved filler consists of a biodegradable synthetic substance.

Sculptra stimulates collagen and helps your skin rebuild it naturally.
Sculptra lasts up to 2 years and is used to fill in laugh lines, plump up thin lips, and treat deep nasolabial folds.

4. Polymethyl-methacrylate (PMMA)

Bellafill

Bellafil is a semi-permanent FDA approved dermal filler made of a synthetic, biocompatible substance.

This filler lasts up to 5 years and can be used for deep wrinkles, nasolabial folds, increase volume in the lips and to fill out pitted acne scars.

Type of dermal fillers

How do you select the right dermal filler? It’s best to schedule a consultation with a reputable Board Certified Doctor or Registered Nurse.

Tips To Follow Before & After Your Dermal Filler Treatment

Before your dermal treatment, you should avoid:

● Blood thinners and pain relievers (Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Aleve, etc.)
● Supplements (St. John’s Wort, Gingko biloba, primrose oil, garlic, ginseng, and Vitamin E)
● Any type of hair-removal process on the treatment area (waxing, bleaching, tweezing, etc.) at least 3 days before your treatment
● Alcoholic beverages for at least 24 hours before your treatment

If you suffer from or have a history of cold sores, let your doctor know before your procedure as you should be aware that any needle punctures could contribute to a risk of another breakout or eruption of cold sores, reactivating the herpes virus.

If this concerns you, your doctor can prescribe antiviral medication to avoid or clear up any breakouts before your treatment.

Do not use dermal fillers if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or allergic to any ingredients.

You should arrive at the office with a clean, makeup-free face.

Following Your Dermal Filler Procedure

After your dermal treatment, you should avoid:

● Wearing makeup for at least 12 hours
● Using skincare products for at least 24 hours
● Strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours
● Alcoholic beverages for at least 24 hours
● Extensive sun, heat or UV exposure for at least 24 hours
● Extremely cold or hot temperatures for at least 48 hours
● Touching or massaging the treated area
● Smoking and/or smoke exposure
● Any dental procedures for at least 2 weeks

To minimize swelling and bruising, apply ice on the treated area and take Arnica or Bromelain (eating fresh pineapple may help as well).

Tell your doctor if you are planning any laser treatments, chemical peels, or other procedures after treatment, or if you are using Aspirin, Ibuprofen, or other blood thinners as this may increase bleeding or bruising on the treated area.

If you have a big event coming up, it is recommended that you plan your treatment at least 3 weeks in advance for optimal healing and results.
