Botox vs. Dysport vs. Xeomin vs. Jeuveau

Which Botox is the best?

There is only one Botox but there are other similar neurotoxins on the market called Dysport, Xeomin and Jeuveau.

What is the difference between Botox and Dysport?

Botox was FDA approved in 2002 and was the first neurotoxin used for cosmetic purposes. Botox Cosmetic treats moderate to severe lines on the forehead and crows’ feet.
Dysport is a prescription injection for temporary improvement of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines). It was FDA approved in 2009 in the United States. Dysport may act quicker in some patients than Botox in seeing results. The biggest difference between Botox and Dysport is the quantity of units needed due to the potency of Dysport. Dysport requires 2-3 units to 1 unit of Botox so if an area requires 25 units of Botox, you may need 50 plus units of Dysport. While Dysport maybe cheaper than Botox, the quantity of units of Dysport physicians need to use is more than Botox and thus there is not a big difference in price. In addition, Dysport has been shown to drift more than Botox causing relaxation of neighboring muscles. Unlike other toxins, Dysport contains cow milk protein and therefore cannot be used for those that are allergic to milk.

What is the difference between Botox and Xeomin?

XEOMIN® is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adults for a short period of time (temporary). FDA approved in 2011 in the United States. The cost of Xeomin is about the same as Botox and the number of units needed for treatment is the same as Botox. Xeomin is said to have a slower onset at day 4 vs Botox is 72 hours. It is a pure form of botulinum toxin and can be used for patients with resistance build up to other toxins.

What is the difference between Botox and Jeuveau?

Jeuveau™ is the newest neurotoxin also know in the market as Newtox. The prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs injection is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines). FDA approved in 2019. Jeuveau can cost less than Botox but with Botox running promotions, they typically are similar in price. While Botox is approved for therapeutic and cosmetic treatments such aseyelid spasms, severe underarm sweating, migraines, overactive bladder, pediatric upper limb spasticity, and relaxing wrinkles, Jeuveau is only approved for cosmetic purposes. Since Botox has been on the market the longest, there are more clinical safety studies than Jeuveau.

Which neurotoxin is right for you?

It is best to discuss all your options with a physician during your consultation.

Brotox: Botox for Men

Brotox Botox for Men

Brotox

Botox is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures among both men and women.

A common misconception about Botox is that it’s a treatment only for women, but more and more men are taking part in the procedure each year and are enjoying the results from it.

Referred to as “Brotox”, Botox for Men is a popular, nonsurgical treatment used to reduce or eliminate the lines on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes.

Why are men getting Brotox?

Men get Brotox to soften and remove wrinkles, crowsfeet and 11 lines between the eyes for a more youthful and refreshed appearance.

The frown lines or furrowing on the brow area that men develop can sometimes come across as a resting angry or negative emotion that is unintended.

In today’s day and age, men are seeking quick and easy solutions to improve their appearance in order to stay competitive in the workplace, improve personal and professional relationships, or to just appear more desirable in general.

Brotox treatments are used to alleviate this negative-looking temperament in men while also enhancing the facial structure and masculine appearance.

Along with being minimally-invasive nature, the attraction to Brotox is also due to how quickly it is performed and the minimal to no down time afterwards.

Brotox for men infographic

Which areas of the face does Brotox treat?

Men can get treated with Botox on the forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet, or eyebrows.

How does Brotox work?

Brotox injections work by relaxing the muscles by blocking the nerve endings that are responsible for static and dynamic lines or wrinkles involved in facial expression.

The procedure involves a small needle that feels like a pinch at most.

The treatment only takes about 20 minutes, so men can get the treatment on a lunch break and return to work immediately after with little to no discomfort.

The results of the treatment can be seen within two to seven days following the procedure.

Male patients have reported a high satisfaction with their treatment.

It’s effective, predictable, and lasts for three to four months on average.

Botox is also FDA-approved and has been around for over 20 years.

Botox for Men at Healthy Solutions Medspa:

Botox for Men vs. Botox for Women explained:

The difference in Botox between men and women is essentially the dosing, facial structure and overall desired appearance.

Men typically require a higher dosage due to a higher muscle mass compared to women.

Depending on what the patient is looking for, Botox can be used for both masculine- and feminine-looking appearances, which is why men and women can enjoy and benefit from the effects no matter how subtle they are.

The Cost Of Botox

what is the price of a botox treatment?

What is the cost of Botox?

Botox has quickly become America’s favorite cosmetic procedure – with more than 7 million Botulinum toxin type A injections being carried out each year.

The quick, non-invasive procedure is a favorite among those looking to reduce fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and forehead – without changing their natural appearance or breaking the bank.

What are Botox treatments?

Botox treatments involve tiny injections that work by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles.

This reduces muscle activity that causes moderate to severe lines to form around the eyes.

Botox injections reduce the look of wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes that is instantly noticeable.

The treatment is usually done in about 20 minutes. It is long-lasting and very affordable.

So how much does it cost to dip into the fountain of youth?

The price of Botox treatments depends on the number of units required.

It varies according to the number of treatment areas, size of the area, the intensity of the wrinkles, and gender.

Botox can range between $10 to $15 per unit, depending on who is performing the treatment:

Registered Nurse or Doctor – their experience and how booked a practice is.

When it comes to getting Botox, cheapest isn’t always better.

Some practices that are just starting charge very little to attract patients and will sometimes offer Botox specials, to build clientele.

It is important only to seek out reputable practices to perform medical or cosmetic procedures.

Online reviews are a great source to help you find the best practice for Botox treatments.

You can also check out the practice’s Facebook page, as it is a good indicator that the treatments are performed by a reputable Doctor, Registered Nurse, or Medspa.

If you’re on the hook to plan the next girls night out but seem to be out of ideas, here’s one for you – throw a Botox Party!

That’s right you can inject fun and filler into one fabulous night out with your girlfriends.

Botox parties are being offered more and more at medical offices, medical spas, and salons.

What are Botox parties?

A Botox party is an event for a group of five or more friends that schedule Botox procedures to be done at the same time in a medical facility while enjoying each other’s company.

Where to have a Botox Party?

We strongly recommend a medical setting to ensure a sterile and safe environment.

Typically refreshments are provided to you and your friends while you hang out, relax, and get your Botox on.

Botox Parties at Healthy Solutions Medspa:

As the host of a Botox party at Healthy Solutions Med Spa, you are eligible for a significant discount or even a complimentary Botox treatment, depending on the size of your party.

All attendees receive a discounted price not offered with a regular Botox treatment booking.

At Healthy Solutions Med Spa, Botox treatments are done by Dr. Michael Luciano or a Registered Nurse.

The process involves tiny Botox injections that work by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles – this reduces muscle activity that causes moderate to severe lines to form around the eyes and forehead.

Botox injections rapidly lessen the look of lines and wrinkles in those areas creating a younger looking you. Botox is safe, long lasting and very affordable.

A single Botox treatment is usually done in about 20 minutes, leaving you plenty of time to chat with your girlfriends.

Within days, you will see a marked improvement in the moderate-to-severe frown lines between your brows and eyes. Lines continue to improve for up to 30 days.

Patients can expect visible results to last approximately three to four months – so you can schedule your Botox parties seasonally.

If you are interested in hosting a Botox party, contact us today at Read reviews about the office you are considering and confirm that Botox treatments are done by an aesthetic Doctor or Registered Nurse.

Cheers to a fun girls night out and a better looking you!

How Botox & Fillers Can Help You Look Your Best During Summer Weddings

There’s nothing more beautiful than a warm summer wedding; weddings are one of the only times that our families and friends get to take time out of their busy lives to focus on celebrating one another.

Everyone wants stunning wedding photographs that they can look back on for decades to come, but are you ready for your close-up?

For most people, the months of July and August bring a packed calendar full of celebrations, but if you are feeling self-conscious about wrinkles and fine lines, you might prefer to curl up under a blanket than face the day.

You deserve to enjoy your summer events with pride; if you’ve been dreading going to an event this summer, injectable fillers can help you look your best before the big event.

Botox and injectable fillers can restore your confidence before a summer wedding.

If you are considering getting Botox for wrinkles on your forehead or fill in your deep lines around your mouth with fillers before an event this summer, you’re certainly not alone.

Over 6.7 million Botox procedures were performed last year, and that number is set to keep growing as more and more Americans reclaim their youthful skin.

Whether you’re part of the bridal party, the mother of the bride or even the one walking down the aisle and saying “I do,” you want event photographers to capture your true self.

You’ll look back on these memories for the rest of your life, isn’t your skin worth investing it?

The reason why Botox and fillers have become so popular and so ingrained in our culture is because they work.

Many people are concerned about deep wrinkles in the facial area, including laugh lines, wrinkles around the eyes and forehead creases.

Botox can help to rectify these issues in as little as a 30-minute appointment.

Injectable fillers such as Juvederm, Voluma, and Volbella can also help with more than wrinkles; injections can help to plump up lips and restore volume in the cheeks giving the appearance of a younger and fuller face.

This summer, you deserve to focus on your friends and family, not fine lines and wrinkles.

Take back the real you with Botox or injectable fillers today!

Why More Men Are Choosing “Brotox” to Look Years Younger

Let’s face it – the pressure that men have to look good has never been higher. That is why so many men are choosing “Brotox”.

While you might watch what you eat, get daily exercise, and use moisturizers to keep your skin hydrated, this might not be enough to attain your ideal look, regardless of your age.

What are more men doing to achieve their ideal looks no matter how old they are?

Botox® or as what men call it: “Brotox.”

The Brotox Boom

Botox® is a non-invasive procedure that is injected directly into your muscles to help to eliminate wrinkles between the eyes, on the forehead, and the sides of your eyes.

The procedure is practically painless, takes under an hour to do, and results are evident in just a couple of days.

According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery’s 2015 cosmetic surgery statistics, over 435,000 men underwent Botox® injections in 2015. Furthermore, in 2014, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons reported that over 400,000 men received Botox® in 2014, a 337% increase since 2000!

Why are more men choosing this procedure?

Men are reading about “Brotox” inside their favorite magazines such as GQ and Men’s Fitness. On TV and social media, they are seeing their favorite celebrities keep their youthful appearance longer.

Some men who are looking for a job have fear of not being hired because they look “older” and want to portray a more youthful and energetic appearance. And, some men just want to look refreshed.

But, one of the best things about Botox® (and undoubtedly a big reason many men opt for it!) is that it’s a non-surgical procedure with no downtime.

It can be done on a lunch break! It’s perfect for men who would like to be discreet but still look their best.

Reduce Those Fine Lines & Wrinkles with Brotox Today!

For over 20 years, Botox® has been the anti-aging miracle that many people have used to look well-rested, refreshed, and, of course, years younger!

What Dads Really Want on Father’s Day is Botox and Coolsculpting!

At the end of every May, or perhaps early June, it’s likely that you ask yourself the same question:

What am I going to give my Dad (or the Dad in your life) for Father’s Day?

Well, if you’re all out of ideas this year (or the thought of purchasing another necktie or dress shirt that sounds like a drag) you can help him transform his body by treating him to a non-invasive cosmetic procedure!

The amount of men getting cosmetic work done is on the rise!

It’s true that more men are opting for non-invasive cosmetic procedures such as CoolSculpting® and Botox® to help them look and feel their best. Now both women and men are spending more time working on their appearances!

Not convinced? Consider this!

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, over 400,000 men underwent Botox® injections in 2014, a 337% increase since 2000! What’s more, 90,000 received fillers, which is an 86% increase since 2000! And, while CoolSculpting® is a relatively new procedure, more men have been turning to this procedure to help them eliminate those stubborn fat areas that will not go away—even after they make a continuous effort to diet and exercise!

What should that special Dad in your life expect from his CoolSculpting® treatment at our med spa in Bucks County?

Botox®, which is injected directly into muscles, will help to eliminate years off his face and smooth his skin.

Dads who choose this procedure should expect to be in and out of our office in less than an hour, experience minimal pain, and see results in just a few days.

Dads who want to freeze away any stubborn fat deposits with CoolSculpting® should expect to be at our office for a little over an hour (or more if they are doing multiples areas at once.)

Dads should expect little or no pain, and they can even go about their day once the procedure is complete.

Results can be seen in as quickly as few weeks, with the most dramatic seen after 1-3 months.

If the thought of treating your Dad, or that special Dad in your life, to either Botox® or a CoolSculpting® treatment at our med spa in Bucks County, PA sounds enticing, we encourage you to call us at 267-388-4692, or schedule an appointment with us online!
