Top Questions Asked of an Aesthetician in a Medical Spa

We recently asked our Aesthetician Erica what common questions she gets asked the most about skincare at our Medical Spa in Bucks County.

But before we get into those questions…

What is an Aesthetician?

An Aesthetician is someone that works in a medical setting and is overseen by a Medical Doctor, that can help improve your skin. They can help you select medical grade skincare products, chemical peels, and laser treatments that would benefit you the most.

Why is everyone confused about skincare?

Reading beauty magazines and scrolling down your Instagram feed, we are all inundated with so many treatments and products for our skin that it can be overwhelming.

Like many of us, you probably have more than a few cleansers that you have tried over the years, masks that you have applied at home, and over the counter eye creams and moisturizers that you dabbled with.

Have they worked? Maybe? Did they cause you to break out or dry your skin? Were they the right products for your skin?

confused about skincare products

Those that are looking to see quicker results in the improvement of their skin turn to an Aesthetician at a Medical Spa.

What are the common questions asked of an Aesthetician at a Medical Spa?

In what order should I apply my skin care products?

You should always start by removing makeup, cleanse, tone, serum/treatment, eye cream, moisturizer, sunscreen.
It is important to apply products in the correct order to get the best results.
Which order you should put on skincare products

Can I use drugstore products on my skin?

Drugstore products are not recommended by skin care professionals because they contain tons of fillers, irritants, and low quality ingredients.
They only add minuscule amounts of the “good” ingredients so they can claim to be effective on the packaging.
Medical grade products contain more beneficial ingredients and are highly concentrated so you need less of it.
Whereas, drugstore products are so watered down they won’t last you nearly as long.

Where can I purchase medical grade products?

You should always purchase medical grade products from a medical spa or doctor’s office to make sure you’re getting legitimate products.
There are a lot of fake products sold online that are cheaper because they are most likely expired or have different ingredients than the original.
Also, you risk having a reaction or break out due to not knowing the actual ingredients that are in it.
You should always consult with an Aesthetician or Doctor first to choose what medical grade products will be most beneficial for your skin type and concerns.

Why is sunscreen so important?

Wearing sunscreen every day can protect you from exposure to UV radiation that can burn the skin and cause skin cancer.
Always make sure your sunscreen has an SPF of at least 30 and reapply every 2 hours.
According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, up to 80 percent of the sun’s UV rays can pass through clouds so it’s important to wear it even on cloudy days.
Another benefit of wearing sunscreen is that it slows down premature aging of the skin.
It also helps maintain an even skin tone by preventing discoloration and dark spots due to sun damage.

At what age should I start using a retinoid?

Everyone over the age of 30 should be using a retinoid like Tretinoin cream.
It will speed up cell turnover which slows down as we age and causes fine lines and wrinkles to appear.
Tretinoin cream is also great for treating acne, so it is recommended for patients with acneic skin as well as mature or “aging” skin. tretinoin obagi retinoid bucks county, pa

Will Dermaplaning cause my hair to grow back darker and more course?

Dermaplaning is a safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair.
Many patients are concerned that the hair will grow back darker and courser after dermaplaning.
However this is not the case.
Vellus hair, also known as peach fuzz, will grow back at the same rate and texture due to its superficial nature and lack of complexity within the follicle.Dermaplaning-in-Bucks County

What can I do to improve dark spots?

There are many different options to treat hyperpigmentation so it’s always best to consult with your Aesthetician to create a customized treatment plan.
A few great options are Clear + Brilliant laser, VI Peel, Vitamin C serum, and Hydroquinone cream.

What can I do for blotchy, red skin?

A Photofacial or IPL, also known as Intense Pulsed Light treats skin pigmentation. A Photofacial can treat those pesky broken capillaries that many people get around their nose.

Is laser hair removal painful?

Everyone tolerates pain differently, but for most people laser hair removal is tolerable and hurts less than waxing.
It also depends on the area of the body being lasered, because some areas are more sensitive to pain than others.
It’s often compared to the feeling of a rubber band snapping.
A numbing cream may be applied upon request or you can take an over-the-counter pain reliever before the treatment. painless laser hair removal Doylestown, PA

If I am a darker complexion does that mean I can’t get laser hair removal?

Although there are certain lasers that can only be done on lighter skin types, there are also some that are safe on all skin tones.
The laser we use at Healthy Solutions Medspa can be done on all skin types and even has a melanin reader that helps choose what setting to use for ultimate results in a safe manner.

Is it bad to pop pimples on my own?

If you squeeze an inflamed pimple that’s not ready to be extracted, you can actually damage your skin further and can make the breakout worse by spreading bacteria.
To avoid long-lasting marks and scars, you should always see an Aesthetician at a medical spa.
There’s a proper way to extract blackheads, and a Hydrafacial treatment is one of the most gentle and effective options.skincare Doylestown, PA

How far ahead should I schedule a Hydrafacial before an event?

You can schedule a Hydrafacial as late as the day-of the event if you’ve had it before.
If it’s your first time, it’s best to schedule two or three days before so that your skin has time to relax just in case you have any reactions. hydrafacial in bucks county pa

How long is the peeling process of a VI Chemical Peel?

The skin usually starts to peel anywhere from 2-3 days following a VI Peel and it can last up to a week.
If you have an event, it is best to schedule a few weeks ahead of time.
chemical peel Doylestown, PA

How does an Aesthetician determine what procedures are best for my skin?

An experienced Aesthetician in a medical spa will ask you a few questions to determine what type of treatment is best.
It’s best to be honest when discussing your skin type and what products you use at home.
Also let your Aesthetician know of any allergies you have and medications you take.
This will help your Aesthetician give you the best customized treatment plan for your skin.

How to find the right Aesthetician?

When scheduling a skincare appointment, make sure to select a reputable and established Medical Spa. Read their Facebook and Google reviews to see what their clients have said about the facility and the results.

Clear + Brilliant Laser Facial Compared to Microneedling & Photofacial

Clear & Brilliant vs. Micronedlingvs. Photofacial Bucks County, PA

How Does the Clear + Brilliant Laser Facial Compare to Microneedling & Photofacial?

A common concern in patients is wanting to reduce fine lines, wrinkles and scars while improving skin tone and texture.

Having younger-looking, radiant skin is now more easily attainable and less painful than ever with today’s technologies.

Some of the most popular skin and facial procedures that don’t require surgery include treatments like Clear + Brilliant, Microneedling and Photofacials.

While all three of these procedures are similar, they also have their differences. So how do you know which treatment you should get?

First, you should narrow down your top skin concerns from the broad goal of just attaining “better skin”.

Whether that’s reducing fine lines and wrinkles, reducing pore size, smoothing texture or improving pigmentation or scars, some treatments work better at a specific goal than others.

Here’s what you need to know about how the Clear + Brilliant, Microneedling and Photofacial compare:

Clear + Brilliant

Clear and Brilliant Laser

The Clear & Brilliant treatment is relatively new, yet it’s one of the most popular laser treatments for improving early signs of aging such as fine lines, skin tone, texture, pigment and sun damage while also minimizing pores.

It works by a laser gently rolling across the skin to create microscopic wounds, stimulating collagen production.

The Clear and Brilliant laser treatment has no downtime and works on all skin types.

The Clear + Brilliant can be done on the face, neck, chest or hands. A series of treatments is recommended, and ongoing treatments are needed to maintain results.

Microneedling

Microneedling in Bucks County, PA

Similar to Clear + Brilliant, Microneedling  works also by stimulating collagen production in the skin, except by using microscopic needles.

It improves the skin’s overall appearance, reduces fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation and acne scars.

Microneedling can be done on any part of the body such as face, neck, chest, arms, legs, abdomen and back.

IPL and BBL Photofacials

Healthy Solutions Medspa

A Photofacial or IPL (intense pulsed light) and BBL (broad band light) targets pigment, redness and vessels in the skin without harming any surrounding tissue.

Photofacials are best for treating sun spots, age spots, rosacea, spider veins, capillaries and other similar conditions on the skin.

IPL and BBL treatments can be done on the face, chest, back or hands. This treatment works best on lighter skin tones.

So how do the three stack up against each other?

Clear + Brilliant vs .Microneedling vs Photofacial
Clear + Brilliant vs. Microneedling vs. Photofacial

How the Clear + Brilliant and Microneedling treatments are similar:

1. They both stimulate collagen production with controlled micro injuries
2. They’re both minimally invasive
3. They both reduce the size of pores
4. They both improve early signs of aging
5. They can both correct acne, pigmentation, fine lines, sun damage, skin tone and texture
6. Can do either treatment as often as 3 to 4 weeks
7. Both treatments can be combined as part of a long term skin care correcting treatment plan, spacing them out by at least 4 weeks
8. Both treatments can be performed on the face, neck and chest as well as hands and arms.

How Clear + Brilliant and Microneedling treatments are different:

1. Clear + Brilliant removes top layer of skin
2. Clear + Brilliant has less visible downtime than Microneedling
3. Clear + Brilliant is better for treating signs of sun damage, such as brown spots and freckles
4. Skin is red to pink for 2-3 days following Microneedling treatment
5. Skin is red immediately after treatment but looks back to normal the day after Clear + Brilliant with less visible social downtime
6. Skin feels raw for a few days after Microneedling
7. Skin feels like sandpaper for 3-7 days following Clear + Brilliant treatment

Clear + Brilliant vs. IPL (Photofacial)

How the Clear + Brilliant and the Photofacial are similar:

1. They’re both minimally invasive
2. They both stimulate collagen production
3. They both improve early signs of aging, sun damage, skin tone and texture
4. They both reduce fine lines and minimize pores
5. You need a series of treatments to fully remove brown spots for both procedures
6. Both treatments can be done on the face, chest, hands, and arms
7. Can combine both treatments as part of a skin care correcting treatment plan
8. Skin looks back to normal the day after treatment

How the Clear + Brilliant and the Photofacial are different:

1. Clear + Brilliant is for all skin types
2. IPL is not recommended for darker skin tones
3. IPL improves veins and capillaries on the face
4. IPL does not smooth acne scarring
5. IPL does not remove the top layer of skin

All three treatments for the face can be combined to create a skin care treatment plan for best results.

So if you wanted to correct pigmentation, reduce acne scars and reduce vascular lesions, a series of all three spaced three to four weeks apart maybe your best option to give you clearer, younger and healthier looking skin.

New Year Beauty Resolution: Clear + Beautiful Skin

New Year Beauty Resolution: Clear + Beautiful Skin

The new year has officially started, and that means new resolutions!

One of the most common goals we’ve already seen for 2020 is clear, youthful and radiant skin.

There have been countless different beauty and skincare trends in the last decade, and we should definitely be leaving some of them there.

From charcoal and red-light masks to CBD and elaborate 15-step routines, we’ve learned that not everything will work on everyone’s skin (or anybody’s for that matter), and a lot of it can be a waste of money and energy.

New Year Resolution Clear & Beautiful Skin

That being said, it’s time to leave all of that in 2019.

It’s a new year, and we’re basically living in the future: technology changes everything in our lives, no less our skincare.

So, isn’t it about time we have a solution for our beauty goals that doesn’t require an endless period of trial-and-error with skincare products, needles or surgery?

2020 has entered the chat, and she says yes!

One of the most innovative procedures to come our way is called Clear + Brilliant.

Essentially, the treatment improves the signs and effects that time and environment can have on your skin, while also preventing visible signs of aging.

Let’s face it: our skin changes over time. Fine lines, enlarged pores and uneven tone and texture can be inevitable, especially as we age.

Even if you take good care of your skin with a consistent, preventative routine with top-notch products, unfortunately nobody can look like they’re in their 20s forever.

Luckily, we’ve discovered and proven new ways to fix what we don’t like and also prevent them from coming.

Clear + Brilliant could be the answer to your New Year’s resolution, but you probably have some questions:

What is Clear + Brilliant and what does it do?

The Clear + Brilliant treatment is a gentle laser procedure that helps to better overall complexion by improving skin tone, texture, uneven pigmentation and the appearance of fine lines and pores, while also treating and preventing signs of aging.

Using fractional laser technology, the treatment works by targeting the upper layers of the skin and replacing damaged cells with healthy tissue.

This essentially triggers the skin’s natural healing process, leaving you with younger looking, radiant skin.

The procedure does not require any surgery or injections, and is 100% non-invasive.

Clear and Brilliant Laser

What should I expect?

A typical Clear + Brilliant treatment begins with a consultation with a licensed professional to establish that the treatment is right for you and your skin concerns.

Before the treatment, your licensed professional may apply a numbing cream to your face to eliminate any possibility of discomfort.

The procedure then consists of guiding a laser hand piece across the skin and target areas, and takes about 20-30 minutes from start to finish.

You will see both immediate and progressive results over the course of a week or two.

Is Clear + Brilliant painful?

The treatment is non-invasive, quick and gentle. Patients have reported that the procedure is minimally painful, with a slightly hot and/or prickly feeling that is easily alleviated by applying ice to the skin.

At most, minor swelling or redness may occur for a few hours following the treatment.

How much does Clear + Brilliant laser treatment cost?

The average cost of a single Clear + Brilliant treatment is around $450, but can vary depending on location, provider and prior state of your skin.

Is Clear + Brilliant worth it?

A high majority of patients say that Clear + Brilliant is worth it due to the results, minimal pain, quickness and downtime of the procedure as compared to other laser treatments.

Patients report that after just one treatment they noticed softer, younger looking skin, improved tone and a radiant glow, and no need to take time off from work.

Clear + Brilliant Before and After:

clear and brilliant before and after

How often should I get the Clear + Brilliant treatment?

Results can most likely be seen after just one session, however 4-6 treatments are recommended in order to notice visible improvements and achieve the look that you want. It is also recommended to separate each treatment by a month for best results, depending on your skin condition and care regimen.

Can I exercise after my Clear + Brilliant treatment?

A light walk is OK following treatment; however, it would be best to avoid strenuous exercise as is it recommended to avoid perspiring and sweating for at least 24 hours after the procedure. Additionally, you should avoid any sun exposure due to heightened sensitivity.

What is the downtime for Clear + Brilliant?

There is little to no downtime for the Clear + Brilliant laser treatment.

Patients are able to get the procedure while on lunch break on a work day and return back looking and feeling normal.

At most, some slight redness or heat may occur on the face immediately after the procedure, but can be alleviated with ice or a cold pack.

The aftercare is simple, and your doctor may advise using gentle and minimal products on your face while avoiding sunlight.

Achieve your New Year’s resolution of finally having the radiant complexion you’ve always dreamed of without surgery, needles or wasting money on trendy products that don’t show results.

Reverse Sun Damaged Skin with These 4 Med Spa Treatments

Bucks County Med Spa

You’ve had your fun in the sun, and now your skin is paying for it.

Those fabulous afternoons lounging poolside with a mojito in hand, and long weekends at the beach are par for the course when it comes to enjoying summer. Unfortunately, it can wreak havoc on your skin.

Regardless of the amount of sunscreen you apply to your skin or how often you sport that Riviera-style beach hat, the sun makes its way through to your precious skin – leaving sunspots, blotches, and wrinkles! But there’s no need to wallow in a world of regret. Your time spent sinning in the sun can be fixed!

Here are 4 Med Spa treatments to help you reverse sun damage:

Microneedling:

Hold up! Did someone say needle? We did. But they are incy wincy, tiny little needles. We’re talking microscopic – as Taylor Swift says, “You need to calm down!”

Microneedling is a method used to rejuvenate the skin by generating collagen and skin tissue. The minimally invasive procedure involves using multiple tiny, sterile needles to brush over the skin to create controlled “micro-injuries.” The skin’s natural healing process prompts the derma, a deeper layer of skin, to rebuild. The increased collagen can reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and even out your skin tone – leaving you with smoother, younger-looking skin. Another bonus: it also lessens the appearance of hyperpigmentation, acne scars, stretch marks, and sun damage.

Patients may experience a few days of redness following treatment, but ultimately settle into silky-soft skin that glows!

VI Peel: It’s time to turn over a new leaf! VI Peel is a medical-grade chemical peel that offers dramatic results with no preparation and minimal downtime. The gentle, pain-free treatment helps to soften fine lines and wrinkles, reverse sun damage, reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and scarring while improving the overall quality, tone and texture of your skin.

The VI Peel at Healthy Solutions MedSpa includes a specifically formulated post peel kit which is essential for your treatment’s success, ensuring optimal and lasting results. VI Peel’s blend of powerful ingredients is suitable for all skin types, including darker skin tones. It is a quick treatment designed to achieve more effective results.

Patients can expect to peel for 2-3 days before revealing a new layer of skin that appears flawless and youthful.

Photofacial:

Also called an IPL (intense pulse light). It’s not a Rave but seeing how amazing your skin looks over the next week may prompt you to break out in a celebratory dance. Before you do, keep in mind this is not an immediate treatment, and depending on how much sun damage you have, multiple treatments may be needed.

Some patients opt for a Photofacial instead of a chemical peel because there is less visible downtime and no peeling! After a Photofacial, your face will appear pink or red. If you have dark spots, they will appear darker- this can last for a few weeks but will lessen with each day. The Photofacial is also great to spot treat sun damage as the device can target specific sunspots more aggressively during treatment.

The Photofacial, also called an IPL (intense pulse light) is a 30-minute procedure in which intense pulses of light are used to penetrate deep into the skin…unce unce unce baby! This revolutionary facial treatment uses a broad-spectrum light source called flashlight technology. The intense pulsed light warms up the skin and uses heat to activate the body’s natural healing process.

You can use IPL on other parts of the body, not just on your face. Patients often get treatment to correct sun damage on areas such as chest, back, or hands. This type of light therapy is also used to treat age spots, broken blood vessels on your face, and rosacea.

Hydrafacial:
When it comes to gorgeous skin, some of us…want it now! The Hydrafacial offers instantaneous results with absolutely no downtime. Hydrafacial is a hydradermabrasion treatment that cleanses the skin, exfoliates dead cells, extracts dirt and bacteria, hydrates, and protects the skin with antioxidants in one simple 30-minute treatment. As if it wasn’t already perfect, a Hydrafacial is an excellent microdermabrasion treatment for oily skin, acne, sun damage, and to treat wrinkles and fine lines.

Plus, by adding specific Boosters to the hydrafacial, you can effectively target problem areas. BRITENOL BOOST Britenol™ is specially formulated to correct dark spots and sun-damaged areas. Britenol™ is clinically proven to leave skin glowing with a more even complexion. Key ingredients: Alpha-Arbutin is derived from bearberry extract to brighten the appearance of dark spots. Vitamin C exhibits antioxidant properties and gives skin added brightness.

Whatever your skin needs are you can’t go wrong with any of the mentioned treatments. Call (267) 332-5567 today to schedule a consultation with our Aesthetician or to schedule an appointment.

Microdermabrasion vs. Hydrafacial

microdermabrasion vs. hydrafacial

Sand and sea, together they rouse a feeling of Zen. But, if I had to pick one to exfoliate my face, I’d have to go with water.

When it comes to exfoliation, water can deliver the same grade of results that grit can and in most cases, with a better outcome and fewer side effects – which brings me to the question, what exactly is the difference between Microdermabrasion vs. HydraFacial – lets dive in!

What is Microdermabrasion?

To start, Microdermabrasion is an earlier technology.

It’s a minimally invasive procedure designed to exfoliate the skin by using an abrasive instrument to gently sand your skin and remove the top layer while a vacuum sucks the removed skin cells and debris away.

It is a painless procedure that targets dead skin cells, blemishes, and fine lines.

The treatment takes up to 60-minutes and should be performed by highly trained medical personnel.

Common side effects of microdermabrasion include mild tenderness, swelling, and redness.

These generally go away within several hours after treatment.

Yikes! You may need to push back your dinner reservation. In some cases, patients experienced broken capillaries, acne and flakiness due to over exfoliation.

Overall Microdermabrasion treatment is a bit of a thing of the past, but it does continue to offer benefits as your skin will appear brighter, smoother and more radiant (once the redness and swelling wear off of course).

What is a HydraFacial?

The HydraFacial is a very popular medical spa hydradermabrasion treatment.

It includes four-steps that cleanses, extracts, exfoliates and hydrates. Like Microdermabrasion, HydraFacial targets dead skin cells, fine lines, and wrinkles.

But, unlike Microdermabrasion, HydraFacial is safe for all skin types and leaves your skin feeling supple and plump – not dried out.

The HydraFacial MD machine is a super exfoliator that uses a smooth vortex-fusion tool to infuse a serum that quenches the skin with vital nutrients like antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid as it exfoliates; by hydrating the skin simultaneously it tempers the exfoliation process and prevents the skin from drying out, leaving you with fully hydrated skin that appears younger, clearer and more luminous – with absolutely no side effects!

That’s because HydraFacial removes the dead skin with nutrient based water-like substances rather than just grit, so your skin won’t get irritated.

So what’s better? Hydrafacial or Microdermabrasion?

Hydrafacial

HydraFacial for the win!

If you’re looking for the latest and greatest, HydraFacial is the way to go.

The cost of HydraFacial is comparable to Microdermabrasion, both run anywhere from $150 to $300 per treatment, but HydraFacial can be done in half the time and offers more bang for your buck.

Bottom line, HydraFacial is a quicker, more gentle way to rejuvenate your skin while providing beneficial minerals that help your skin remain a healthy glow and youthful appearance.

It was the Winner of New Beauty Magazine 2018 as the “Go to facial for a healthy glow.” It offers amazing results that can be achieved in minutes.

There are also optional upgrades to a “Signature” HydraFacial that can be customized to meet your skin goals and concerns which may include growth factor with the CTGF Booster that is designed to restore skin health and helps lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

To target fine lines and wrinkles, the Dermabuilder Booster can improve skin tone and texture.

And for dark spots and sun damage, the Britenol Booster is clinically proven to leave skin glowing with a more even complexion with key ingredients including alpha-arbutin and Vitamin C that brings out a brighter complexion.

Another option that you may choose with your HydraFacial is Lymphatic drainage.

It stimulates the Lymphatic system and helps puffiness to go down on the face and under the eyes.

lymphatic drainage hydrafacial bucks county
Lymphatic drainage with Hydrafacial

With this add on, toxins are moved out of the lymph nodes and circulation is increased giving your face that much needed glow!

And lastly, you may opt for Red & Blue LED Light Therapy.

Red LED light therapy treat wrinkles, rosacea, sun damage and helps patient achieve a healthy glow. In addition, Red LEDs help reduce the appearance of scars, broken capillaries and promotes healing.

Blue LED light therapy is used to treat acne and blemishes caused from clogged pores.

3 Reasons Why You Should Get a Hydrafacial Treatment

Healthy Solutions by Dr. Luciano Hydrafacial in Bucks County, PA is proud to introduce the Hydrafacial treatment a three-step treatment that cleanses, extracts, hydrates, and reduces the signs of aging for people of all ages and skin types. Think of a microdermabrasion, facial, and peel in one but way better! It was even named Best Treatment by NewBeauty Magazine.

Never heard of the Hydrafacial?

Get to know this new treatment that’s gaining so much buzz! Here are three reasons why should get a Hydrafacial treatment:

  • Hydrafacials can correct a number of skin concerns. The Hydrafacial is a skin superstar. By using its patented vortex technology, it clears the skin of deep-rooted impurities and extracts and exfoliates by combining two types of acids that are gentle yet effective.

The Hydrafacial treatment has been found to help with a variety of skin concerns, ranging from excessive oil production, acne breakouts, sun damaged skin and wrinkles.

  • There is No Downtime. The Hydrafacial treatment cleanses the skin, followed by a non-irritating application of chemical peel to help reduce fine lines and discoloration.

And even though chemical peel is applied, because of the suction- like mechanism, you won’t peel and flake after the treatment and have downtime.

Patients may leave a little pink after the treatment depending on their skin sensitivity but that quickly goes away within minutes.

Compared to other treatments out there that require days of downtime, this is a great alternative to get glowing skin without having to figure out the best time to do it.

  • It only takes 30 minutes. When you schedule a Hydrafacial treatment, you won’t need to allocate a lot of time away from your busy schedule.

The treatment is fast and efficient, only taking 30 minutes to complete. You can even have one done on your lunch break and make it back to work on time!

Schedule your Hydrafacial Treatment by calling us (267) 332-5567 or request an appointment at Healthy Solutions Medspa.

Experience for yourself how the Hydrafacial treatment will make your skin clearer, tighter, brighter, and healthier.

Facial Treatments – Beautiful Skin is Always In

Healthy Solutions Medspa We are pleased to announce that we’ve added a new aesthetician to our experienced team here at Healthy Solutions Medspa.

With that said, this month we’re excited to highlight our extensive facial treatment program.

If you aren’t familiar with all the medspa treatments we have to offer, this should be a good starting point toward understanding how we’re able to help your face glow like never before!

Many women (and men) spend a long time looking for products or ways they can improve and achieve clearer and more radiant skin. While we certainly advise taking measures on your own to ensure maintaining the healthiest skin possible, the fact of the matter is, home treatments and over the counter beauty products can only get you so far.

It takes visits to professional facilities like our medical spa in Bucks County, PA, to truly achieve the best results possible.

We offer the following facial treatments at our Medspa:

Everyday Glow Facial: This is a classic European-style facial, customized to suit your skin type. It includes exfoliation, deep cleanse with pore extraction, facial massage and a treatment mask. This classic facial is perfect for most of our patients, and will work wonders to enhance your skin.

Harmonizing Zen Facial: It consists of all the best elements of a classic facial, but it also reduces your overall body stress with extra attention focused on a massage of the face, neck, shoulders and scalp. Total serenity and glowing skin—what’s not to love?

Restore Anti-Aging Facial: A facial aimed at restoring your skin’s youthfulness. It’s repairative and firming, using the best anti-aging ingredients, and it includes delicate to more-intensive peeling; whichever is needed more.

Radiance Brightening Facial: This is an ultra-hydrating anti-aging facial that oxygenates and brightens complexions affected by blotchiness, UV damage, or pigmentation. Combat the harmfulness of the sun with this exceptionally brightening facial!

Balancing Acne Facial: Designed especially for skin affected by oil, blackheads, enlarged pores, and inflammation, with special attention to extractions. Breakouts can be stressful, but you can avoid them with this wholesome, balancing facial.

Teen Facial: This is designed to suit the needs of skin that is still having breakouts associated with adolescence. It includes deep cleansing, gentle extractions, and a healing mask.

Custom Facials: If none of the above are quite right for you, no worries! We also offer completely personalized and individualized custom facial regimens. Just give us a call and our aesthetician will work with you and make a plan based on your specific needs.

In addition to these facial treatments, we offer the Hydrafacial, Microneedling, Photofacials, and the Clear + Brilliant laser facial.

VI Peel: Renew Your Skin With This Popular Chemical Peel

Healthy Solutions Medspa

Women all across the world love the Vi Peel for one reason: Because it works!

What is a Vi Peel?

The VI Peel is a medical-grade chemical peel that effectively improves the tone and texture of one’s skin.

Many women choose the VI Peel not only because of how well it works, but also because it’s quick and easy, and requires no advanced appointments or preparation.

The VI Peel is available only at physician offices or at a medical spa, and stimulates collagen and elastin to fine lines and wrinkles, treat acne, age spots, and pigmentation.

What Is Unique About The Vi Peel?

Many other peels are now considered things of the past, due to VI Peel’s groundbreaking ability to deliver stunning results with absolutely zero pain.

The days of “no pain no gain” no longer exist thanks to the VI Peel.

Before, in order to make a peel work, you’d have to go very deep into the skin, which would deliver high results, but also heavy downtime and a lot of pain.

The VI Peel delivers even better results with little downtime and no discomfort.

It only takes one VI Peel to see dramatic results, making your skin look younger, less sun damaged and more vibrant.

When Will I See the Results?

After your first peel, you should see the stunning results within a week. Once we apply the solution, your skin will peel over the course of about four days, and then return to its normal pH level—which is when the full results will appear. You’ll know the peel has fully kicked in when your skin glows like it’s never glowed before, and feels much tighter and refreshed than usual. If you suffer from hyper-pigmented or otherwise damaged skin, you’ll notice that the acne/damages are completely gone or very much improved.

What If I Have Acne?

The VI Peel will work to fight acne, however we recommend that you use the VI Peel Purify which is a customized VI Peel specifically made for acne prone skin.
