All about the coolsculpting cool confidence program

Have you read about the rare side effect of CoolSculpting called Paradoxical Hyperplasia and doubted doing the treatment?

No need to worry, the CoolSculpting Confidence Program has your back.

What is Paradoxical Hyperplasia?

Paradoxical Hyperplasia is characterized by the gradual development of visibly enlarged tissue volume, of varying size and shape, in the CoolSculpting treatment area 2 to 5 months post treatment.

This is distinguished from temporary swelling because it does not resolve by itself. It affects less than 1 percent of CoolSculpting patients, where the freezing process causes the affected fatty tissue to thicken and expand.

Over 11 million CoolSculpting treatments have been performed worldwide, and PH is a rare side effect of Cryolipolysis with a reported rate of 1 in 3000 treatments.

Healthy Solutions Medspa has never seen this occur in our patients and we have been doing Coolsculpting treatments for 10 years!

What is the Cool Confidence Program?

In the rare occasion PH occurs, you will be eligible for financial assistance for a corrective procedure up to $7500.

You would first need to contact your provider, who will contact the company and submit a claim with all necessary requirements like your before and after photos, your Coolsculpting consent, and you before Coolsculpting weight.

From there, their clinical team reviews your case and if they agree that this is the situation, you would be eligible for the program.

PH is the only diagnosis covered by this program.

How Did This Begin?

The whole concept of the CoolSculpting Confidence Program started when Supermodel Linda Evagelista shared her experience with CoolSculpting.

Back in 2015, she said her CoolSculpting procedure left her “permanently deformed and brutally disfigured”.

She then filed a lawsuit suing CoolSculpting’s parent company, Zeltiq Aesthetics Inc., for $50 million in damages, alleging that she was unable to work after undergoing seven sessions of CoolSculpting from August 2015 to February 2016.

After months of discomfort, pain, and a rollercoaster of emotions, it was discovered she had PH after her treatment.

Linda’s Coolsculpting treatment was done by the old Coolsculpting legacy device that is not offered at Healthy Solutions Medspa. We offer the latest and greatest Coolsculpting Elite system to our patients.

What Does the Coolsculpting Cool Confidence Program Cover / Not Cover?

The CoolSculpting Cool Confidence program only covers the rare side effect called Paradoxical Hyperplasia.

It does not cover:

  • Lack of results or dissatisfaction with the Coolsculpting treatment results.
  • Adverse events other than CoolSculpting or CoolSculpting Elite.
  • Experiences related to other manufacturers’ devices.
  • Patients who have previously participated in the Cool Confidence Program.
