A landmark study conducted by Stanford University School of Medicine, published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, investigated the effects of BroadBand Light (BBL) treatments, specifically the Forever Young BBL™, on aging human skin.
The research revealed that BBL therapy can modify the expression of genes associated with aging, making aged skin cells behave more like youthful ones.
In this study, researchers performed BBL treatments on aged human skin and observed significant changes in gene expression.
Out of approximately 2,300 genes that exhibited altered activity due to aging, about 1,300 showed rejuvenation post-BBL treatment, aligning more closely with gene expression levels found in youthful skin.
